EODesk
Helpdesk for Earth Observation
History
The Earth Observation Platform is part of the Belgian Federal Science Policy Office action
plan "Support for an information society" which was approved by the Belgian Government
late 1995.
In 1997, the Earth Observation Help Desk was initially set up at the Royal Meteorological
Institute in service of the (potential) user of earth observation data. Since 2001 EODesk is
an integral part of the Belgian Federal Science Policy Office.
Target groups
For scientists, administrations, NGO's and private companies, the EODesk is intended to act
as an interface between Belgian experts and the distributors of satellite data.
To the public at large the EODesk offers general information on Earth observation.
