The Copernicus Relays of Belgium (i.e. ISSeP, Skywin, Spacebel and VITO)in partnership with the Belgian Royal Military Academy and the support of Switch to Space, BELSPO and Digital Wallonia have the pleasure of inviting you to their upcoming hot topic event “Earth Observation and Artificial Intelligence for a Safer World”, the second edition of the AI4Copernicus conference.

Focussing on Security and Defence, the 2021 event to take place at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels will highlight the interaction between EO and AI for a safer world.

Besides the more military applications, several thematic fields will be addressed:

  • Infrastructure
  • Human safety with regard to migration, health and commodity
  • Food security and agriculture
  • Natural resources and environment.

Roundtables with Keynote speeches from ESA, Belgium Def

Roundtables with Keynote speeches from ESA, Belgium Defence, European External Action Service, Industries such as Airbus Intelligence, will also be organised to review recent developments and structuring actions of Artificial Intelligence applied to Earth Observation.

A special session will also be organised in cooperation with Switch to Space, i.e. a Belgian initiative for students and young professionals dreaming of a career in the Space sector.

This year, the conference will also be on-line.
