Everything happens somewhere. Geo-information is becoming increasingly important in the service to the citizen and in the solutions offered by companies. Location is increasingly becoming a crucial parameter in the digital economy.
The National Geographic Institute, with the support of TMAB Business Events, is organizing BeGeo for the fifth time, the national congress with a geo-information fair where the government, the private sector and the research world meet. This unique event will take place on March 24, 2020 in Brussels EXPO.
The previous editions of the event were always a great success with an attendance of around 1,300 participants and 50 exhibitors at the fair.
This year, TV presenter Virginie Claes will be the moderator of BeGeo.
BeGeo opens its doors at 9 am, after which the plenary opening starts at 10 am with various inspiring keynotes:
- Ingrid Vanden Berghe, Administrator General of the NGI, opening address.
- Yves-Alexandre de Montjoye, Assistant Professor at Imperial College London, The search for anonymous data.
- Drs Dorine Burmanje, co-chair of the United Nations Global Geo Information Management group of experts.
