The Copernicus Master in Digital Earth is a new EU-funded programme jointly hosted by University of Salzbourg (PLUS, Z_GIS), University of Olomouc (UPOL) and University of South Brittany (UBS).
This two year full-time integrated programme aims at qualifying individuals to lead initiatives, projects and institutions translating Copernicus data (remote sensing and in-situ) into information for management decisions within a broader Digital Earth vision. Study Earth Observation and Geoinformatics in the first academic year (in PLUS, Salzburg, Austria). Two Specialization Tracks offer outstanding candidates a pathway towards excellence in GeoData Science (in UBS, Vannes, France) as well as GeoVisualization and Geocommunication (in UPOL, Olomouc, Czech Republic) in the second year of studies. The Geographic Information Science / Systems (GIS) Master of Science programme is offered as double degree in English language.
The Call for Applications (Intake 2) is open until January 15, 2020.
Sought profiles include computer science and/or statistics/applied maths with some interest in geo-related fields, or geo-related background with some interest in computer science/data science.
