Launched on 22 April (Earth day 2020) by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and TED-Ed, and supported by more than 30 other collaborators, Earth School is an interactive educational platform available to teachers, students, and curious global citizens. It is estimated that more than 1.5 billion learners are impacted by the COVID-19 school closures. Earth School is an unprecedented way to engage students with Earth science with fun online content and a series of learning adventures.

Built for children and youth ages 5 through 18, it spans 30 school days that run between Earth Day and World Environment Day on June 5. Each Adventure has been carefully selected by a panel of expert practitioners and caters to different age groups. Each consists of a hands-on experiment and a nature discovery, many of which can be observed at home through a window or on a local walk.
