As part of an ongoing programme of investment and development, the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences (EARTH), Cardiff University is seeking a Lecturer in the areas of Environmental Science and Sustainability.

You should share their passion for high quality research-led teaching and be able to contribute to the delivery of core and specialist modules within the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in EARTH's Environmental and Geographical Science area, as well as more broadly across the School. You will also supervise MSc and PhD thesis students. Experience of and enthusiasm to run student field trips are desirable.

The postholder will develop and sustain an internationally recognised, externally funded, interdisciplinary research programme addressing (i) physical climate change impacts and evidence-based responses and (ii) integrating methods of the natural and social sciences to assess the connections between the global environment and human activities. Cardiff University is seeking candidates who complement their current research programme and who are able to integrate across existing areas of expertise. Current areas of research interest in the school at large include Earth surface processes, marine science, climate/environmental change, palaeoclimate, hydrology and hydrogeology, high-latitude and montane environments, and environmental hazards.
