Opportunity for use of Planet data (PlanetScope and SkySat) – Deadline extended

You are here

The European Space Agency (ESA) offers an opportunity for scientists and researchers to access Planet data (Planetscope and SkySat) products for science and applications development within ESA's Third Party Mission programme.

PlanetScope is a constellation of 120+ satellites named Doves, that are able to provide VHR imagery of the entire landmass of the Earth daily with a huge amount of data at a global scale.

Skysat composed of 15 satellites, is able to provide a ground resolution of about 72 cm for multispectral bands.

ESA scientific users can request PlanetScope and SkySat data by submitting a project proposal in response to the dedicated ESA Third Party Mission Announcement of Opportunity provided that the user undertakes to submit to ESA a full report on the assessment of data quality.

ESA would now like to inform all interested users that the deadline for proposal submission has been extended until the end of June 2020.
