KULeuven: Joint PhD Position in Urban Green Exposure & Health Analytics

KULeuven is hiring a joint PhD researcher in Urban Green Exposure & Health Analytics.

This position will develop human-centred green exposure metrics — combining GIS, remote sensing, street-level imagery, AI and large-scale health data — to better understand how urban greenery translates into mental and physical health outcomes.

The 4-year joint PhD is embedded in a collaboration between KU Leuven (Division Forest, Nature & Landscape & Ecology, Evolution and Biodiversity Conservation) and the University of Essex (Institute of Public Health & Wellbeing), with two years at each institution.

They are looking for a strong MSc graduate with solid analytical/programming skills and experience in geospatial analysis, remote sensing, exposure assessment and/or health data.
