The Hydro-Climate Extremes Lab (H-CEL) at Ghent University is looking for a new colleague to strengthen our team as a Professor in Hydrology and Data Science.

About the Position
As a professor within H-CEL, you will:
- Conduct cutting-edge research on hydrological processes, climate extremes, and data-driven modelling
- Help shape the next generation of scientists through high-quality education in hydrology, climate science, and data science
- Build interdisciplinary collaborations within UGent and internationally
- Contribute to the growing research agenda of H-CEL, including flood/drought modelling, climate impacts, remote sensing, machine learning, and integrated water management
What We’re Looking For
- A strong research profile in hydrology, hydro-climatic extremes, data science, or related fields
- Proven scientific excellence and publication record
- Experience or motivation for high-quality teaching and student supervision
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for building a dynamic research environment
