ESA Call for Tender: Harmony DISC Development Phase

The European Space Agency (ESA) has launched an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the development phase of the Harmony Data Innovation and Science Cluster (DISC), offering opportunities for research institutions and industry to contribute to this innovative Earth observation mission.
Harmony, ESA’s 10th Earth Explorer mission, will consist of two satellites flying in formation with Sentinel-1. Equipped with receive-only C-band radar and thermal-infrared instruments, the satellites will provide unprecedented insights into land-surface deformation, glacier dynamics, ocean-surface processes, including currents and temperature patterns.
The Harmony DISC will provide the scientific and technical backbone of the mission. The development phase covers the design and integration of data processors, quality-control tools and calibration/validation components, followed by in-orbit commissioning and post-launch validation.
Participation in this phase could also pave the way for longer-term involvement in the mission, as the DISC will continue to support and evolve Harmony's algorithms, data products and software during its operational phase.
