Overview
Satellite data are of great added value for climate adaptation and mitigation. However, not everyone is aware of that yet. In 2020, to boost the use of services based on satellite data, the Netherlands Space Office (NSO) launched an innovation project aimed at fostering the creation of EO solutions for climate adaptation and mitigation. Various companies received an innovation budget and have developed a service that contributes to the topic. Often this was done in cooperation with a governmental organisation that needed a solution for a specific issue.
In this webinar, the NSO will give some insights on the motivations for and the implementation of this innovation project, after which some companies will present the services they have developed within such framework. The projects contribute to climate adaptation and/or mitigation in various ways. There will be time for questions at the end of each presentation.
The target audience of this webinar includes public administrations in the Netherlands and abroad, as well as companies and other organisations. You will learn more about the services that these companies have to offer, and about what it takes to start an innovation project as a public administration together with the market.
