In the wake of the GEO-XV Plenary Session earlier this month in Kyoto, the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) presented a story map showcasing how bringing together geographical data and actors can change the world for the better.
Feeding the world: Can global crop production meet future demands?
Current crop yields compared with potential for closing yield gaps
The tool GEO used for this map is actually available for free! It allows the user to display all manner of information against an interactive backdrop of maps, overflowing with information provided by the user. Go check out the possibilities and create your own story map here. But before you do that, be sure to visit GEO's story map and be amazed by the fantastic level of detail of their geo-information, all thanks to the cooperative effort made by GEO's member states and participating organisations.
