Context and objectives

This project is part of the European multi sensor airborne campaign (EMAC 94-95), a collaboration between ESA and JRC to support the preparation of future earth observation programmes, and the development of airborne high resolution sensor complementary to satellite sensors.
The project aimed for:
- registration of SAR and multispectral images in a map projection, using differential GPS measurements;
- low-level data fusion of SAR and multi-spectral images in order to obtain maximal visual information in one image.
