Copernicus Land, Marine, & Coastal Workshop [POSTPONED]

On March 31st 2020, the Netherlands Space Office (NSO) will organize a workshop about the Copernicus Land (CLMS) and Marine Service (CMEMS) with special focus on the area where land meets water: the coastal zone.

The portfolio of Copernicus data and services is rapidly expanding. In this workshop NSO would like to inform the community on the recent developments and bring the different Copernicus sub-communities from land and marine together, to create awareness beyond the present Copernicus community and to create an NL outlook for the contribution to and the use of Copernicus services, both nationally and internationally. The Copernicus Land and Marine Services will be represented by the European Environment Agency (EEA) and Mercator Ocean.

It will be a full day workshop. In the morning, following a general introduction the organisers foresee two parallel sessions. One on the land theme and one on the marine theme with presentations from different perspectives of the community (public, commercial, scientific). In the afternoon there will be a plenary session focused on the coastal zone, for which recently the Copernicus Land & Marine Services joined forces to expand the service portfolio. The day will be concluded by a panel discussion with the speakers and Copernicus Services representatives.
