EUMETSAT has announced the 2027 edition of its annual Meteorological Satellite Conference, one of the main international meeting points for scientists, meteorologists and Earth observation specialists working with operational satellite data.
The conference brings together experts from national meteorological services, research organisations, space agencies and industry to exchange results, discuss new satellite missions and explore how observations from space can improve weather forecasting, climate monitoring and environmental services.
Each edition of the conference reflects the rapid evolution of operational Earth observation. Recent meetings have focused on new-generation geostationary and polar-orbiting satellites, atmospheric composition, climate data records, extreme weather and the growing use of multi-mission and multi-instrument observations.
Detailed information on the 2027 venue, dates, programme and registration is expected to follow as preparations progress.
