According to a preliminary analysis published by the Japan Meteorological Agency, 2021 was the third warmest year on record in Japan, with an anomaly of +0.61°C. This trend was especially pronounced in the Mount Fuji area, where temperatures were 1.1°C higher than the reference average, the highest across all the Japanese islands.
