ESA - ESOC

The Directorate of Operations and Infrastructure gathers competences related to all satellite operations and to the facilities needed to carry out not only spacecraft control but also satellite testing and basic-to-complex data processing tasks. Its activities are spread over all ESA establishments as its responsibility also encompasses the planning and maintenance of buildings and office automation. Satellite control is concentrated at ESA’s Space Operations Centre (ESOC), with two main fields, mission operations and ground system engineering.
