Context and objectives

- to study the relation between the groundsurface in the polder area and radar retrodiffusion;
- to characterise the soil moisture saturation in relation to the groundwater level.

Project outcome

Expected scientific results

The C band retrodiffusion coefficient value increases slightly in function of the soil moisture content, but there is hardly any difference with regard to the type of polarisation (VV or HH).
