To test the use of ERS-1 SAR-imagery land use classification.

Expected scientific results
According to the applied procedure, the result didn't reach more than 60 % as good classified pixels. When the same procedure was tested on a multi temporal optical image set, 85.1 % could be reached. To conclude: the use of ERS-1 data can't compete with the use of optical data.
Synergic use of radar and optical data was only marginally better than the use of optical data.
