Context and objectives
To use RS en GIS for forest classification, forest monitoring and forest management.
Project outcome
Expected scientific results
- Degraded, polluted or damaged forest was monitored in Flanders, Poland and China;
- Update of the forest mapping of the Flemish region was made, as well as the planning of an afforestation project;
- Simulation of timber production in part of project area;
- Testing of afforestation strategies.
