Context and objectives
The main objective is the evaluation of SPOT-XS imagery to distinguish forest structures and to develop a method for the detection of the parasitic plant Chromolena odorata.
Project outcome
Expected scientific results
SPOT-XS is not an adequate mean to distinguish forest structures or to detect the parasitic plant Chromolena odorata, but is adequate to detect cocoa plantations and to distinguish young afforestations from mature forests.
