In the town of Rust, visible in this image acquired by one of the Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellites, wine growers have been experimenting with new grape varieties that are better suited to the changing climate. This innovation is a response to the rising temperatures and shifting weather patterns that have created difficulties for the traditional grape varieties that once thrived in the region.

The Copernicus satellites are supporting the effort to adapt by providing free and open data that can be used to monitor climate change and its impact on agriculture.
