Two new data collections are available through ESA’s Third Party Missions programme: Landsat 5 TM Cloud Free & Landsat 7 ETM+ Cloud Free collections, which contain products acquired over Europe, North Africa and middle East. In particular, these collections have been created selecting, for each scene, one product with minimal cloud coverage.
The Landsat series is a joint USGS and NASA-led enterprise for Earth Observation that represents the world's longest running system of satellites for moderate-resolution optical remote sensing for land, coastal areas and shallow waters.

The principal functional differences between the ETM+ and the former TM series are the addition of a 15 m resolution panchromatic band and two 8-bit "gain" ranges. The ETM+ adds a 60 m resolution thermal band, replacing the 120 m band on ETM/TM (band Number 6).
The products are available for download via the ESA TPM dedicated dissemination service and catalogue after free registration.
