Context and objectives
to develop and implement a method to extract topographic information using SAR interferometry, and to demonstrate and evaluate it on the basis of ERS-1 data
Project outcome
Expected scientific results
- method of phase unwrapping based on residue connection using coherence measurements as a complementary information source;
- method for performing the co-registration of SAR images as required in SAR interferometry, based on a modified version of the Chirp-Z transformation. The method allows complex interpolation of an entire image, by application, at each point, of a bilinear co-ordinate transformation;
- development of an Interferometric SAR processor in which human intervention is reduced. The complex interpolator used for co-registration can be used beyond inSAR processing. Obtained DEM using this processor corresponds very good with the ground truth.
