CIS processing tools
The Centre Spatial de Liege (CSL) has a long standing experience in the frame of SAR processing and SAR interferometry (InSAR).
In the frame of numerous projects mainly funded by BelSPo and ESA, the signal Lab of CSL has developed a complete InSAR suite now known has CIS.
CIS, as all tools of its kind, allows performing all processing steps for InSAR, DInSAR, PolSAR, PolInSAR, … including geoprojection of results in raw or ENVI format.
It is a command line processor having its own peculiarities allowing to handle most of the currently available sensors including Sentinel1 (S1). Among others, we can note:
- Co-registration and InSAR processing of data with respect to a common master;
- Handling of external topographic reference;
- Home made phase unwrapping processor in addition to snaphu;
- Split Band interferometry and spectral coherence measurements;
- Coherence tracking;
- S1 automatic stitching of contiguous frames;
- S1 automatic burst selection with respect to area of interest;
- Selection of an area of interest to limit processing time of time series;
- Possibility to masks low coherence areas to ease and speed-up phase unwrapping;
In collaboration with the European Centre of Geodynamics and Seismology (ECGS) in the frame of the RESIST project, CIS processing tools were fine-tuned to allow full automation through scripts allowing to process all modalities (ascending, descending, CSK, K5, TSX, TDX, S1, EnviSAT, RadarSAT, …) from reading to InSAR pair selection and differential phase layer generation in geo-projected coordinate system. New modalities may be added as they come to extend the time series.
Differential phase layers can then be sent to an MSBAS processor to generate or update displacement measurements, allowing to perform near real time monitoring.
Combination of CIS, scripts and MSBAS makes a tool unique of its kind that can be of wide use in the scientific community.
Therefore, having reach a good level of maturity, it has been decided to makes each component of this tool available to the scientific community upon request.
How to request?
Requests may be addressed as follows:
